You can also use `LD_PRELOAD=/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so xemacs'; this is
apparently what the xaw-wrappers scripts do.

I tried this, and I got lots of
xlwradio.c: In function `DrawDiamond':
xlwradio.c:547: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
Debian installs both the original Athena headers (in
/usr/X11R6/include/Xaw) and the Athena3D headers (in
/usr/X11R6/include/Xaw3d). I tried mv'ing Xaw and symlinking Xaw3d in
there; no go. Evidently you need to include some private headers. To
get at them in Debian Linux, at least, you will presumably need to
check for them being in /usr/X11R6/include/Xaw3d. Sigh.
