It seems that there is still a problem, also when I did what you
suggested it looks as if the new files were committed, when I visited
http://cvs.xemacs.org/viewcvs.cgi/XEmacs/packages/xemacs-packages/auctex/
I cannot see the images directory.
Without this, the auctex pkg will not work and should under no
circumstances be released.
