I made the question since I was very sure never ever have touched this
function, that is not having used advice.

Thanks I did not know about ad-deactivate.
No the point is I cannot not do what you suggest, since it seems that
this function does not exist, I try to type it and no completion
occurs, even stranger, when looking up the function via, describe
function, the function does not appear!?
It seems that definitely something is very strange in this debian.
(There are other oddies, like I cannot install 3rd pkg in
~/.xemacs/xemacs-packages, but this is another story.)
NEEDLESS to say Aidan, I appreciate your help, but *can't* you just
use ASCII for ASCII messages
