pre auctex-1.34-pkg.tar.gz: a Problem with a variable

Hello Since mail is written especially for Steve and Rendhalver. I tried to update the AUCTeX package, as discussed earlier. In my last testing I found a problem I was afraid of. In order that all the internal add-ons of AUCTeX work, the variable TeX-lisp-directory as to be set correctly. For the old 1.33 it is automatically, that is without setting it in the .emacs file or using custom to /prefix/xemacs/xemacs-packages/etc/auctex/style When I used my new generated package 11.13, installed in ./xemacs/xemacs (which seemed to read first is seems) that the variable is not set. I used basically your Makefile, Steve, I saw a remark about this issue in the Changelog, I used grep to find the variable. No way, How did you do it? I have to set this correctly otherwise people will complain. Setting it manually is not a solution Uwe
