I am really looking forward to the release of 21.0 to use on my NT box.
Therefore I jumped at the chance to download the binaries of XEmacs 21.0 b56
for MSWindows that Fabrice Popineau put somewhere on the net, and seems to
work (very basic things) in NT4.0sp3, except for efs, that works for a bit
and then hangs (the same happened on Solaris 2.5.1 with XEmacs 20.4, so I am
not overly concerned about that). I am not sure about the problems with
graphics support, since I have not used graphics inside XEmacs before.
The problem is that I cannot print from XEmacs! When I try pretty-print from
the menu it complains that lpr is not a command and does nothing. Looking
through the archives of xemacs-nt it seems that there is no native printing
support. Can someone tell me what is the good of having XEmacs on NT if it
is not possible to print? Or maybe there is a workaround that I have missed
by not being a member of any of the mailing lists. I have searched through
xemacs-beta but there seems to be no mention of this.
Please answer me directly as I am not a member of the mailing list.
Thanks for your help and sorry in advance for the message that the mailer
appends at the end as I have no control over it.
