Re: Bug in format.el (with fix) (PR#1751)

Hi Boris, I'm not sure if you are still maintaining the `format' package, if you are, then you might care to fix this little bug. (sorry no diff/patch) The format-replace-strings function does not work as advertised with `reverse' set to non-nil. The function bails out with a type error: char-or-string-p, ("─" . "=") ... where the pair is the second element in the alist I passed in as the argument. The error is in the (let ((from ... (to ...) in that function. - (to (if reverse (car (cdr alist)) (cdr (car alist))))) + (to (if reverse (car (car alist)) (cdr (car alist))))) the error is/was here ----------^ If this has been fixed, I apologise for bothering you with it. (I'm afraid I am not free to choose my working tools, so I'm stuck with XEmacs 20.4 for the time being ... and Outlook for email!)
