for XEmacs packages use
M-x pui-list-packages
then press
i runs the command pui-display-info
on the package in question
You'll get
Author version: R-2_9_9 2002-01-07: XEmacs Development Team
<xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org>
for pcl-cvs.
Send your patches there and the team (being Steve :-) will also
FORWARD your patch to the external maintainer, if there is one.
