rm -f font.el; xemacs font.el is what I've been planning. ;-)
I've reorganized font.el somewhat, but I don't think I've actually
changed the semantics of any of Eric Knauel's code. If you're in a
hurry, (1) ask Eric, he might have an idea and (2) I did do something
invasive that wasn't supposed to change semantics. Basically, I
removed all references to `font-running-xemacs', as our font.el is not
compatible with GNU's, and I don't plan to try any time soon since I
intend to head in the direction of fontconfig XEmacs-wide, while they
still use X11-style fontsets and XLFDs everywhere. I can probably dig
up the relevant patch by ... Monday, I guess.
If you're in less of a hurry than that, late next week I plan to get
back to work on Xft, which specifically means (1) recent bug reports
on the sealevel code such as Jens Petersen's and (2) font.el/x-face.el
refactoring. That's going to take a couple weeks at least, though.
