I didn't know about that option. I'll experiment with it.
You may need to reconfigure other paths to match the positions
relative to the binary if Gentoo doesn't use the ones expected by
XEmacs (in particular, Gentoo probably puts Lisp in /usr/share where
XEmacs 21.4 expects /usr/lib).
Actually it is the other way around.
