Can you say which ones are wrong, or better yet send me the file? You
say Gnome terminal does it correctly? So that gives me something to

yup, attached is the file. gnome-terminal displays it correctly after
some magic: in the properties disable multibyte support, use a 20pt
iso10646 font like fixed (misc), in the terminal do 'echo -n %G' and
then you can either cat it or less -r it.

do it...
