I think my expectation is conditioned by where my eyes are. If I use
select-buffer via a keyboard binding, my eyes go to the buffer's
window if it is visible. If I use tabs, my eyes go to the tabs, and
want the buffer to appear where they are.
If you don't want to code this, I owe you other code anyway.... Do
this (as a user option) at the same time, shouldn't be too hard. :-)
