We can always create a schedule, but whether we'll be able to produce
something worthwhile on on that schedule depends on available
developer effort. I'm hoping that several developers who had to
drastically curtail activity in spring and summer will reactivate
soon, but nobody's actually spoken up yet.
It would be useful to start making up a list of desirable features for
the next release and thinking about how to achieve them from where we
are now, even if you can't offer the hours/skills to implement them
yourself. (Of course feature requests backed by labor and skills to
implement them get the highest priority, but that's not the only way
to get things done.)
