Proposal to make better use of space in XEmacs web pages

Hi All! The XEmacs logo in the upper left corner takes up a third of the window height in my setup of Internet Explorer and Mozilla. See http://www.xemacs.org/ Recently it has been suggested to make downloading and bug reporting more easily reachable on the website. Here is what I came up with: http://home.t-online.de/home/Adrian.Aichner/xemacsweb/ (This page is a mockup, so don't bother clicking any links in it.) Pros: Download and bug reporting information is easily reachable for first time visitors. More of each web page is visible without scrolling. Cons: The new look appears less visually pleasing to me personally. The unreadable background text in the logo makes it lose much of its merit. Request for feedback: What do others think? Would it be worth my while to create a proper patch for template.html and template-de.html to implement this?
