Did you get the "mule not enabled" errors? Just go into the
xemacs-beta/lisp directory and remove all the *.elc files. You could
just remove the files that complain, but I find it easier to just
delete all of them. They will be rebuilt when you do a make.
`make beta' now depends on `make elcclean', which does what you'd
expect (`make beta' also does a `make clean', which probably isn't
what you want if the compile and link succeeded in a fresh source
directory).
