Hah, you appear to have hand-editted the (custom-set* ...) section
incorrectly?
Move one close-paren from above to the end of the line before
(custom-set-faces
and you should be a happy camper again.

i thought the order had something to do with it getting read incoreectly
If you think XEmacs/Custom corrupted this section, please try to

up with a test-case.

i coppied the custom-faces section and obviously missed the bracket
