Hi Michael,
can you please consider releasing a new dired version including the
above into the xemacs-packages module real soon, so that Steve can
release a dired package which will work on Windows.
You know I have been waiting for this since the last millenium :-)
I submitted the patch in August 1999, to be a bit more specific.
