If there's overwhelming demand, maybe. But a ~65-character subject
line is already a constraint; such tags would cost at least 15%, and
more likely 20-25% (since there are multiple lists, it seems unlikely
that just "[xemacs]" gives enough information) of that very limited
space. I don't like this idea.
Well, if this is a democracy let me register a vote for suggesting the
use of capable mailers like Gnus, VM and friends, all of which can
filter the list away based on the list-id header and related content,
without bothering the rest of us with subject tags.
