problem building build package from cvs

hi adrian and everyone else i have been trying to compile adrians latest build package from cvs this is the first time i have compiled packages from cvs so i could be doing something wrong i followed the instructions in the INSTALL file then i did gmake autoloads in packzges/xemacs-packages i then tried gmake bindist in packzges/xemacs-packages/build it seemed to be going fine then i got an error this seems to be the command it fell over on cp -af /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/ChangeLog /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/build.elc /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/build.el /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/./auto-autoloads.elc /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/custom-load.elc /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/./auto-autoloads.el /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/custom-load.el /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/xemacs-packages/build/./_pkg.el \ /Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/../xemacs-packages/lisp/build cp: illegal option -- a usage: cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-f | -i] [-pv] src target cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-f | -i] [-pv] src1 ... srcN directory gmake: *** [binkit-common] Error 64 [rendhalver＠ulthwe build]$ i am running XEmacs 21.4.9RC1 on FreeBSD 4.6 i assume there is some weird difference between the linux and FreeBSD cp command's note i had to use gmake to even get this far the std FreeBSD make didnt work at all if you need more info please let me know -- XEmacs Advocate | Do not try the patience of Wizards, FreeBSD Devote | for they are subtle and quick to anger.
