Just add it to the list, along with the guy who told the whole NANOG list
that Tony Li didn't understand squat about BGP-4, the occasional bozos who
post to comp.lang.c saying (basically) "who is this dmrï¼ alice joker and
what does HE know about C anyhow?", and the Microsoft guy who tried to argue
with this Korn guy about how ksh works... ;)
No, I'm sorry I know perfectly well who I was talking to, which is why I
said that it is no excuse to throw insults around. If you believe having
done anything or being anything gives you the right to insult other
people, and publicly at that, then obviously our opinions differ.
And I am not talking about anything else than that really, if he has a
problem with someone, he should be smart enough to discuss it with him
privelty instead of us ending up discussing it.
I was not going to answer to this thread with one more off-topic answer,
because I thought Robin's mail was an ironic joke, but yours does not
seem so, so I just wanted to make sure you understand my opinion clearly
before you go saying that insulting people publicly is a good thing, or
excusable for some people.
