I didn't get the version in Gentoo (1.3.0, so not the very latest)
working at all apart from the demo, as it kept insisting on writing its
log files in /
"not great out of the box" is also something I worry about. Doing some
customization on look-and-feel and configuration is obviously always
needed. Anything beyond that is the beginning of the maintenance
nightmare that will result in many tears and cursing later on.
