I pass so many options to configure, that I keep a set of script files
containing the various invocations I use.
Any of them that should be defaults IYHO?
I wouldn't find it useful to run a bare ./configure.
Oh, me too. I'm thinking in terms of people just getting started.
I guess part of the value of having this discussion would be thinking
about how close we can get to a useful "bare ./configure".
