libre is being decidedly unfriendly again today. :-(
I think the poor thing got swamped with network traffic. It is just a
little Sparc IPX running linux... pity it. :(
BTW, is there a spectacular demo of gtk-xemacs? I'm very
impressed that
the bear dances, but gtk-xemacs (as I normally use emacs) doesn't quite
match Baryshnikov. (I have long hated the detachable toolbars, so maybe
I'm just prejudiced.)
You'll be glad to know that the toolbars are not detachable, mainly because
the current XEmacs toolbar code is a little too toolkit unfriendly and
assumes that nobody uses a geometry manager.
It doesn't have to be a Lisp program or other run-time thing,
some
neat configuration option would be great.
Loading up .../src/gtk-xemacs/tests/gtk/gtk-test.el and using M-x gtk-test
is a pretty good demo. If you have gnome installed you can also futz
around with changing the themes dynamically from theme-selector-capplet.
Cheesy, but kind of cool.
The killer app will be when/if someone writes a customize interface in real
GTK. Kind of like the sawfish UI stuff. Wouldn't be terribly difficult.
