Sorry, let's try again.
You had a two-line patch to config.sub that fixes a problem on your HP
system. Download xemacs-21.1.8. Try building it on your same HP. If
it fails, try your own two line patch. If that works, we add just that
patch for 21.1.9, instead of doing a major upgrade of the config.sub
and config.guess in 21.1.9, which might be risky.
Sorry for the confusion but I thought _the_ problem was a distincs one
(another problem). in the case of config.sub and config.guess it is
not a problem for 64-bit HP in 21.1 (at least I didn't see it this
way). In fact, the XEmacs 21.1.x code stream has a set of config.*
tools that do not report hppa2.0{w,n} (only hppa2.0), IIRC.
