Well, I would like to see the nightly cvs tarballs and here's why.
at work, the only machines I can access the internet from are loaded
with NT, but I do all my compling, testing, etc on Unix machines. So,
I end up doing cvs checkouts to jaz cartridge loaded in the system,
and then load it into my unix box.
the problem i get doing this is:
*) shell scripts load execute permissions, i.e. configure.
*) while the .c files will generally compile, my non-mule xemacs
chokes on .el files with the dos cr/lf. So too, does make on the
similarly afflicted makefiles
*) the majority of the files that have some kind of case dependent
filename generally lose the case.
so, basically, it ends up being a royal pain in the ass. :-)
Being able to download a tarred up cvs snapshot would, in most cases,
save me a lot of trouble.
