When asking for help Open Source mailing lists, occasionally the answers can
come across as impolite. We're not trying to be offencive, it's just that it
seems to be a common social dynamic amongst Open Source groups.
If you haven't already, I suggest you read ESR's "How To Ask Questions The
Smart Way" (
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html). This will
explain a lot about where we're coming from and how to deal with it.
