Well, I would like to hear from other people who have worked on this
kind of system.
But I'm going to pay no further attention to the issue until the
release is released, except to file any comments that should come my
way for later study.
I do recommend, Martin, that you reconsider your understanding of what
Ben is advocating in the meantime. He may have used the word
"eliminate" in regard to unsigned variables, but that was surely
hyperbole. He meant "decimate", and has made explicit indications to
that effect on many occasions. I feel you have severely
misrepresented what Ben has said, and most denizens of xemacs-beta
don't have access to Ben's own words.
