Very close. What that does is give me:
Better (for this purpose) is to revert the other variables to default,
and then customize the PDF entry of `TeX-output-view-style' to "open
%o". (My main notebook has decided to die, and I took this
opportunity to start configuring the new one, so discovered this
little-known fact. :-)
