Well, it isn't necessarily a good assumption that people want all the
packages installed. They might; I certainly do. But I'm not sure that's a
good assumption to make in an install HOWTO.

I agree with this. Even if you *aren't* new to xemacs, the sumo
tarballs are just so much easier. You don't have to worry about
dependencies.
