Slow Redisplay

I've recently started seeing very slow redisplay. I am pretty sure that this started with the latest packages release but I could be wrong. I upgraded my whole developer team from 21.1 to 21.4 and they are seeing this problem too. We are using Solaris 7 with (for the most part) default configure options and this includes Motif. I see that we are warning against the use of Motif. Could this be the problem? Is this problem new to 21.4? What should I specify in lieu of Motif? I am about up build 21.4.14 (I now use 21.4.13) and would like to build it as optimally as psosible. What is suggested? Thanks! -- Jake Colman -- XEmacs Tinkerer
