Good point. Thing is, it's true I didn't keep up with recent changes,
and I didn't use correct procedure in updating packages. The first is
no sin, and the second is still all too easy a mistake to make---eg,
people who use the SUMO tarbabies.
I'm pretty sure that Tomo's changes creating the function in question
were recent, so even somebody who noticed the move to <core>/lisp/mule
at the time might get caught by the later change, as long as they were
incautious about package updates---and since the wrong update
procedure worked at the time, it's a hard one to figure out.
Just another source of package-related panic-stricken users on c.e.x.
Thank heaven for the library shadow finder.
Hmm. Does the bug report function call it? That would be easy enough
to do.
