Yeah, this is because the backtrace causes XEmacs to reenter a routine
that is involved in the crash already.
2. if i hadn't requested a backtrace, i get in the minibuffer the
SERIUOS XEMACS BUG ... save your buffers ...
message and XEmacs is still alive
i wonder if, in the second case, i could do something to get info on
what happened
I suspect not. The information I needed is that it seems to be a
problem with `test-chars'.
