Nope. All the NIX boxes are behind 'inclusive' firewalls - the port and protocol
must be 'included' in the list of allowed openings -everything else is closed.
Ditto for any production PC servers.
My individual client PC can get out to the web, but I don't do my main programming
there.
And I would imagine that this situation is the majority config, at least in financial
institutions.
