I'm trying to use xemacs-21.0-b48.ppc.rpm (MkLinux), but the autoloads do
not seem to be working as I am used to (20.3).
For example, if I try to visit a directory, it complains "/a/b/c is a
directory". I can: M-x load-library dired or M-x load-library
dired/auto-autoloads. When I load dired/auto-autoloads, it does not
complain "Already loaded". If I load it again, it does say "Already
loaded".
When I try M-x load-library auto-autoloads, it does complain "Already
loaded". Shouldn't all the auto-autoloads in all the directories be
autoloaded?
I found the "rebuild autoloads" and "rebuild custom-load" stuff in
etc/BETA, and it did some updating when I ran it on "dired" and ".",
but
it didn't seem to fix anything.
Anybody have any clues on what's up here?
