Hi!
i am leaving the XEmacs project.
... which is sad to know!
I'm trying to fill in the gap left by Rendhalver and try to keep up
the good work he's done in the past as the project's package-release
manager. This is quite a big pair of shoes to fill.
In real life I'm living and working in Stuttgart, Germany. I stumbled
across Emacs during my time at the physics institute some eight to ten
years ago (GNU first, then X). Since then I've been using it for
various things (yes, mostly editing) and have been lurking around
these places and lists. Most of the times I'm not sitting in front of
one or another monitor, I play trombone as a means to get carried
away.
I thought, now might be a good thing to speak up and try to further the
cause of open source. I'll leave most of the source management to
Ville and try to pace slowly, at least in the beginning :-)
If you have questions about the package-release process, need to know
my address to send me pizza and/or beer, or want to verbally kick me
in the arse, because I'm doing a real bad job, drop me a note.
Have fun,
norbert.
