At first I thought you were slightly wrong -- I thought that you only
could not use BK if you were using it to manage the source code of a
competing product. I may or may not have gotten that idea from something
McVoy said. However:

This clause does make it sound like you can't use it if you develop a
competing product, even if you only use BK to manage the source code of
a completely different product. That's kinda harsh.
