Re: Need people to test a new ps-print package

Hi Steve, I tested the new ps-print package on XEmacs 21.1.14 NonMule and found: - Installing worked well, however I got the same warning as Malcolm malcolmpurvis(a)optushome.com.au (See discussion in that thread): (1) (warning/warning) Autoload error in: /home/vf/.xemacs/packages/lisp/ps-print/auto-autoloads: Symbol's value as variable is void: lpr-windows-system - printing on IRIX 6.5 with a laser printer (postscript printer) worked fine. - printing on an old Linux (SuSE 6.0) with a standard inkjet (non postscript printer) did NOT work (despite I had no problems with the old ps-print 3.05x). The generated postscript seems to be ok, because I can view it in ghostview and print on the (above) IRIX 6.5 laser printer (postscript printer). However, I can not print this file on the inkjet --- even when using the system's lpr command, and not lpr.el. Cheers Volker --
