When I said bring a few features of FSF into ours, I didn't mean by
copying code; just by achieving compatibitility, which would also
enable me to take a similar approach to FSF.
I might also see if what I want is in the last GPL2 Emacs, in which
case I could also copy code.
I don't want my own fork contaminated by GPL3!
Vocabulary like "contaminated" belongs in the rhetoric of free
software's opponents. You might want to consider not feeding _their_
propaganda mills, even when your goals don't match that of the Free
Software Foundation.
