I've managed to use the XEmacs tree to shake out a compiler bug or 3.
To nobody's great astonishment (I hope), the RedHat 'gcc-3.1-0.18'
chokes on the XEmacs tree if you use the bleeding-edge '-fssa' flags.
Bug reports have been filed with RedHat (hopefully to get pushed upstream
to the gcc crew). Bugzilla 59084 and 59087, if anybody cares.
