After my firewall was fixed to meet rsync requirements (will describe
the fix on request), it works for me too. And I do not see
`XEmacs/xemacs/src/.cvsignore,v' and other `.cvsignore,v' files in
rsync output. They are still visible to cvs client only (and
viewcvs). So one can do cvs checkout from local cvs copy, but it will
not contain `.cvsignore' files.

How do other users of `xemacscvs' rsync module go without it? Do they
maintain '.cvsignore' in their working copies (cvs checkouts)
manually, or there is some other solution?
After all, how many such users are there? Are Stephen J. Turnbull and
Adrian Aichner the only users of `xemacscvs' rsync module? Or there
are other ones?
The final aim of it all is stated by Hans-Guenter Weigand in
