It doesn't happen all the time, but once it starts happening in a session, it
continues until I restart XEmacs.
So you're suggesting that when I start to see it happen in a session, I kill
all of my shell buffers and see if it still occurs in that session?
I also use Gnus, and I find that I sometimes see many "useless" processes
(listed in the "list-processes" buffer). The next time it occurs, I'll
check
for the presence of those processes, and any others.
