xemacs --vanilla doesn't crash.
To me, that's a pretty good indication that something in your local
setup is tickling the bug. Did you do as I suggested, eval'ing each
form in your ~/.xemacs/init.el until you find something that will
cause the crash to happen?
$ xemacs -vanilla
C-x C-f ~/.xemacs/init.el RET
move point to the first form in init.el
C-M-x
C-x C-f /a/file/you/know/that/can/cause/the/crash
scroll around, do whatever usually causes the crash
if no crash, go back to init.el, move point to the next form and
repeat from
C-M-x
With a bit of luck, you'll eventually get to the form that is causing
XEmacs to barf. Let us know what that form is.
Just be methodical about the whole process and I'm sure that we'll be
able to get to the bottom of it.
