recent VM vs gutter patches ????
i built yesterday, against the latest CVS, and apparently everything
continued to be OK, except for VM
i use a pixmap for my bg, but now VM randomly modifies the bg of its
windows and also the bg of the minibuffer (sometimes it's my pixmap,
sometimes it's the default background color that i set in .Xdefaults)
