Certain messages defy pop3 .uidls tracking mechanism ...

Thanks to a suggestion from Stephen Turnbull of upgrading to 21.4.6, I've basically gotten the pop3-leave-mail-on-server functionality working with gnus. However, I've discovered that certain messages (some spam, some not) seem to override whatever mechanism pop3 uses to track which messages have been read. These messages get downloaded as new mail every time I do a check, regardless of how many times I've seen them before. I believe pop3.el is writing the message ID to the .uidls file, so I assume it's something about the message IDs of these messages that breaks that. I've attached an example of one of these messages.
