I'm in agreement with this (and have offered:) But I think there are some
management issues with opening up the number of people who can commit. I
personally think the review board should have commit access, then they
could review and commit at the same time....
a. reduce the burden on Steve when he has time for XEmacs again.
b. make it possible to have these patches tested during the current
de facto "true freeze."
To my knowledge the outstanding stuff is now only
- Fix package-get-remote-filename to add "anonymous@"
- Add documentation for package system.
- Make sure easymenu.el is FSF 20.3 is compatible.
- Wait for EFS maintainers to find time to do a review of
outstanding patches.
There are more than this. Patches have been submitted by the review board
which don't need approval.
