I'm afraid we broke something in XEmacs. cc-mode wasn't so slow in
XEmacs 21.1, nor in 21.2 betas. I think some of the syntax changes by
Matt Tucker caused the slowness.
I've witnessed the slowness; I know exactly what you're talking about.
It is *definitely* not the same slowness you complained to Barry 8
years ago about. This is something much worse.
