Does it mean that Matt's code fixes the parens-in-first-column
problem?
Is there anyone who even knows how we came by that problem and why FSF
Emacs apparently doesn't suffer from it? I understand that it is an
important optimization, but I don't understand why the FSF doesn't
need it!
Could someone detail the problem for me? I think I must have missed the
discussion leading up to this.
