On many X11 systems, there is no vendor-suppplied xmkmf. I remember
on AIX xmkmf was only provided in source form, in the `examples'
directory.
In my opinion, XFree86 is differently broken in REQUIRING the user to
LIE about his software by defining _BSD_SOURCE, for example.
Let's face it, X11 is broken. Let us count the ways...
