Re: cc-mode packaging problem?

I tend to agree with you - primarily because a recompliation did not fix anything! I eagerly await a fix to the "syntax analysis" code which, as you've mentioned, is not scheduled for 21.4.4. I would hope that it is high up on the fix list and is considered a high priority issue.
