Re: menu in VC
I see exactly the same thing using RCS on a Soalris system
under 21.0. It has been that way for some tome. It never seems
to be able to get the menu correct on checking out vs checkin gin.

You did use the package with XEmacs 21.0 did you?

You should just have a '(require 'vc-hooks) but that shouldn't
matter.
