If you don't like it,
didn't tell that. Just refering to the attention is payed quite at the
forefront and the real thing you get from it, resp. some unwelcome
setbacks and surprises, which are not told to beginners.
That's a kind of area related to the use of templates and frameworks.
Sometimes it helps, sometimes it just makes you nervous.
The point of attention: you may read help-requests from Python beginners
and Emacs beginners alike, who want to start with all gimmicks at once.
I'm in favour of starting with basic editing, leaving aside all that
coolness at this moment.
Think we might discuss the pros and cons when having made it working
(again) at python-mode.
